Mary, Mary

It’s been a weird week. Needed something to zap me out of the world at large. Enter the exhibit at Legion of Honor SF featuring one of my faves: Mary Cassatt. The only American Impressionist painter who associated with the French Impressionists (most notably Edgar Degas), she painted women & children in a way that applauded motherhood; the act of caring for and honoring the life of another. Amen!
